Bound in 'Lucy Havens, volume of songs and music, circa 1798-1825' in the Caroline Simpson Library collection.
Lucy Havens (1804-1867) was born in Monimail, Fife in Scotland, she then moved to Whitehaven, Cumberland in the north of England. She immigrated to Sydney with her family in 1839. She married a former convict and successful business man Thomas Hyndes in 1850. She remarried Scottish Presbyterian minister William Purves. She lived in The Rocks in Sydney.
