This view of the eastern shore of Sydney Harbour shows Vaucluse House almost hidden at the head of Vaucluse Bay in the top middle of the photograph. The two other houses visible are Greycliffe House (closest to Vaucluse House) and Carrara (now called Strickland House). The Macquarie Lighthouse can be faintly discerned at the very top left of the picture.
