This view of Camerons Cove (Johnstons Bay) Balmain, shows Hampton Villa (built 1847-1849) in the middle of the photograph, Heathfield to the left of Hampton Villa on the headland, and Ewenton on the lower right, partially obscured by the buildings on Peacock Point in the foreground. The street in the foreground is William Street near its intersection with Johnston Street.
