This postcard, numbered 588 in a series, probably dates to the 1930s-1940s, during the period in which the Hyde Park Barracks site was in use as a court complex. A railed semi-circular garden bed extends from the front of the northern gatehouse and the Barracks yard is filled with court buildings.
