This image is one of a
collection of photographs of The Rocks and Circular Quay dating from approximately 1950-1970. The Rawson Institute for Seamen, situated at 98-100 George Street, was originally established as ariner's Church. Its purpose was to provide support, both spiritual and physical, to seamen. The building has now been repurposed to be used as a bar and restaurant. The architecture is notable for its use of the Free Classical styles of both the Victorian and Federation periods.
