Description:
The large two-storey house called Sans Souci in West Maitland was, during the 1870s, the home of Henry Septimus Badgery (1840-1917), stock and station agent and politician. By the end of that decade it was the residence of Badgery's former partner James Nixon Brunker (1832-1910).
