Description:
The foundation stone of this building, which is now called the Ebenezer Methodist Church, in Shirley Street, New Providence, Nassau, was laid on the 29th March 1839 when the Rev. John Corlett was minister of the church and it opened its doors for worship in 1841. It survived a severe hurricane in 1866 when other churches on the island were destroyed but was severely damaged in another hurricane in 1928. It has been rebuilt and restored to its former glory.
[The name 'Ebenezer' can just be discrened on the building]
