Description:
The Justice & Police Museum holds a small file of historical material related to police premises at New Lambton New Lambton Police Station, including the rented building in Regent Street, New Lambton, depicted in this photograph. The file makes it clear that this photograph was supplied to the Superintendent of Police, Maitland, in February 1915 in response to a circular about police buildings. The building, which according to the notice on the verandah post, also served as a State Electoral Office, was vacated by the police in 1922.
